Black Cat Bone
We formed in August 2012. We cover rock genres > modern, funky, blues, 'tex-mex', classic and modern country rock.
Walter Schlegl - lead guitar and vocals
Original member of The Items a late 70's / early 80's band out of the wilds of Rexdale. Played extensively in the Southern Ontario market with regular stops in Toronto at Larry's Hideaway, Queensbury Arms, Yonge Station, Spats and the El Macambo. Finalists in both the Q107 Homegrown contest and CFNY's Great Ontario Talent Search.
Had to quit the band after a few years and found myself in the final stages of full blown adulthood (what a drag).
After not playing for almost 25 years had a total reawakening and I'm finally back to doing what I truly love.
Terry Cuthbertson - Bass
Terry has been playing bass and guitar since he can remember. Terry and Ted have been playing together for 18 years in a rock and a blues band prior to Black Cat Bone. More coming ....
Martin Human - Rhythm guitar, keyboards, harmonica, vocals
Started with classical piano at school in South Africa as my mother thought I could be the next Liberace, until I found out who Liberace was, where-after I quickly exchanged piano for guitar!
Started out with basement / garage band jamming, also played charity events (belonged to Round Table a charity organization). Arrived in Canada in 2004, played bass for a classic rock cover band Mid life Crisis (now MLC) for over a year or so, then decided classic rock only ain't my thing! Needed more variety and I found it.
